Lara and Uri team up once again in an exciting thriller filled with suspense. The book kicks off after there is a bombing in a church in New York City. The mystery begins to unfold very quickly as Uri Levin and Lara Edmond team up to uncover information relating to the bombing that sparked national unrest.

On Sunday, a Jewish church was bombed by an unknown terrorist, leaving no less than 100 casualties. The government quickly calls FBI agent Lara Edmond to head the investigation team; Uri was subsequently added to the team as well. As the investigation dragged on, it became more ambiguous and unyielding, but Lara's curiosity could provide more insight into the case, and the question that keeps on ringing is whether there may be a devil among them.

This was the second book in a series; I haven't read East Wind and thought reading this would be a problem, but it was never a problem; the author wrote it as a stand-alone book. The first thing I liked about this book was that it was fast-paced and filled with so many actions. The second thing I liked about the book was the plot; it was well-developed. Although I must say that the beginning parts of this book were well-developed and enjoyable, the ending was less engaging. I loved the way Israel and the Jewish customs were portrayed in this book, but the fact remains that Israel has so many unknown enemies who mostly pose as Christians. I like the two major characters, Lara and Uri; they are brilliant and tweaked up in a very unique way, and the book also emphasizes their romantic relationship. The name of this book was gripping, and the cover was exciting. I think everything in this book was too good.

There weren't many things I disliked about the book, apart from the fact that it faded as it went on and that the ending was rather slow and dull. I will give Devil Among Us by Jack Winnick 4 out of 5 stars. This book was very intriguing, gripping, and amazing. I believe this rating was justifiable, as this book is one of the best thrillers you could see. This book had close to zero errors and was exceptionally edited.

My best recommendation for this book goes to people who enjoy political thrillers. It will also appeal to people who enjoy suspenseful books.
