Lara has always wanted to join the military, so being an FBI agent is a dream come true for her. Despite how well-hidden something may be online, she has demonstrated her aptitude for technology. So, when Hezbollah (an Israeli terrorist organization) attacks, they must take all necessary precautions to stop the next attack. Even though Lara is not a field agent, her command of the Arabic language gives her an advantage on this mission. The FBI must stop the threat before it turns into a massacre after Hezbollah sets an ultimatum.

The storyline was realistic and interesting. There was a lot of talk about historical incidents (Middle Eastern conflicts, terrorist acts, etc.), nuclear physics, and engineering, but the author did a great job of demystifying and clarifying the concepts for the reader. I didn't find any grammatical mistakes, but it was very well edited, and it is obvious that a lot of study went into it. Additionally, Jack Winnick did a fantastic job of keeping the narrative exciting and gripping. Keeping track of the people, their names, and their positions was challenging due to the shifting points of view. Apart from that, the book was engaging.

Since this book was so excellent, I couldn't think of anything to dislike. The development of the plot and characters was well done by the author. This novel does a great job of building suspense, and I must admit that I was surprised by a lot of what happened. I was drawn into this novel by how the author introduced it. It was not as monotonous as what every other writer writes. A good movie may be made from the book. I look forward to reading the remaining volumes of this series. I rate East Wind, 2nd Edition by Jack Winnick 5 out of 5 stars.

A plus that kept me from blinking was the action-packed, rapid-fire narration. I adore action movies, and the fact that this book is about terrorists only made me love it more. The author's word choice was sensitive to circumstances and provided weight to what was at stake—the lives of so many helpless people.

Fans of action series should check this out. If you want to read historical fiction about the war, you'll like this. They are entertaining, even if there is possibly too much information for you to digest. This can be appealing to readers who like romance novels. I don't see any reason not to read this book again after now.
