The action-packed crime thriller E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is fewer than 260 pages long but well worth the read because it explores devotion, patriotism, and criminal activities. It's a quick-paced action novel, to say the least. The threat to North America from terrorism and technical warfare is enormous. Unbeknownst to the authorities, a terrorist organization operating undercover had started to sow the seeds of devastation. Fortunately, a young, curious honeymooner and several helpers were able to eliminate the menace.

The Electromagnetic Pulse Honeymoon narrative is a very unique one that begins with Kelly and Tom, the newlyweds, at the Barefoot Sands Resort and Spa, Shoreline Road, Honduras. The author paid close attention to the language used and especially focused on the facts provided about solar flares, terrorist organizations and plots, intelligence agency operations, and the newest cutting-edge artillery. Additionally, there were plenty of romantic moments and corny jokes with butt-kicking situations that will for sure keep readers turning the pages.

Considering the technical topics discussed throughout, I appreciated how Dorothy May Mercer's lines were simple to understand. It was simple to read. What I liked most about the book, in my opinion, was how the author made clear note of how the landscape changed as the plots changed by employing subtexts to illustrate the changes. I like reading this since it maintains a consistent flow of energetic passages to keep the buzz going, and I enjoy action novels. There were instances where military expertise and background knowledge regarding the lives of the terrorists, their relationships, hierarchy, intelligence, and technological developments were described.

Along with the extreme highs, the characters' ease with which they prevailed in diverse circumstances with little difficulty bothered me. Maybe I'm not accustomed to winning in sparsely contested battles. There was certain material regarding the leaders and operations of terrorism that, if censored, would have had a more enigmatic appeal.

Even if the title of this book doesn't say much about its genre, I'd love to suggest it to everyone who likes action books. The book was illustrated at various points so that readers may get a glimpse of some of the equipment and details. I found no faults in the grammar as a whole, thus I had nothing negative to say. Although it was action-packed, it wasn't amplified enough to serve as a warning to readers. I'd like to rate this book 3 out of 4 stars based on the aforementioned.
