Jurisdiction Denied is a book written by Jack Gold and Marc Debbaudt.

The juvenile justice system is suffering a systematic breakdown. Judge Marty Goldstein and Nathan Bartholomew are concerned about this. The policy reform by the governor doesn't seem to be helping matters. The cost of prison services is considered more important than the positive transformation of the justice system. The story is narrated by Judge Goldstein. Can he save the day? Find out by reading this book.

Let me take a moment to appreciate the characterization of this book. I was intrigued by Hilda. As evil as she seemed, her role seemed to draw me in. The authors appropriately portrayed a dangerous woman, and I just enjoyed reading it. Other characters in this book brought in their peculiarities, and they all greatly spiced up this read. The tone of the narration was appropriate. It seemed to convey the emotions of the setting and the people involved in the scenes. I liked the actions and the fast pace of this book. As I turned the pages, I was welcomed by the intense thrill of reading a crime book.

This was an entertaining read. However, I really commend the authors for giving readers an arguably accurate view of the justice system. The themes of classism and segregation were wonderfully explored. It was enlightening to have a close view of the justice system and its shortcoming. Reading the biography of the authors, I could see why this was properly done. I applaud the authors for using their experiences to give readers an insightful book. It's always a great thing to see works of fiction explore real-life problems. I liked how deeply this book addressed necessary concerns.

At some point, this book seemed a bit technical. Also, the fast-paced nature of this book made it slightly difficult to understand the initial pages. However, as soon as I got further into this book, my concerns disappeared. I was able to seamlessly follow up with the book's captivating storyline. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was remarkably edited; I did not encounter any errors in it. Though I initially had some concerns, the numerous positive aspects of this book outweighed them. I had a great time reading this book, and there was nothing worth deducting a star for.

I recommend this book to readers who want to get to know more about the juvenile justice system. If you like crime books, this should be a great read for you.
