Review of East Wind, 2nd edition
East Wind, 2nd edition by Jack Winnick, is a crime, action, and romance novel with thrilling scenes to deal with. This book tells the story of two agents who work together to combat terrorism in the United States.
Uri Levin, a Mossad agent, was summoned by his boss, General K, to collaborate with Lara Edmond, an FBI agent who is a cybersecurity specialist. Uri is familiar with the Hezbollah operation. They both work together in secret to detect suspicious terrorist activities in the United States. Unfortunately, while these two agents were still trying to figure things out, they heard on the news that a bomb blast had occurred in the Marina del Rey district on the west side of Los Angeles, resulting in numerous casualties. The terrorists have forced America to choose between supporting Palestinians over Israel or risking further repercussions if no response is provided within five days. It is now up to Lara and Uri to restore America's safety. Get this fascinating book to learn about the thrilling events that occurred.
The plot of this book is intriguing. The author knows how to tell a story quickly and concisely. This book's title was fantastic. It's perfect for the story. The third-person point of view used to tell this story made the events and actions of the characters very clear. The author's words were precise. He wants to capture the reader's attention so that they will want to read the next series of this book. I was on my feet reading the first five chapters, which discuss the development of the protagonists' and antagonists' characters. It was fascinating. The reader can see Walid's motivation and emotions before committing such a heinous act. The author provides Lara and Uri's backstories. From her family history, the reader understands why Lara is an FBI agent. Another intriguing aspect was Lara and Uri's love story. The reader gains a better understanding of their relationships.
This book has one flaw that I discovered. I liked how the author included dates at the beginning of each chapter so the reader could see when and how long events occurred, but he stopped providing dates around chapter twenty-four or so. I'm not sure why he stopped, but the dates connected the storyline to historical events, and the setting added to the realism. I had nothing else to dislike.
I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars because of the excellent character development and the author's writing style. This book was free from grammatical errors because it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to people who enjoy crime and romance novels.
