Review of East Wind, 2nd edition
East Wind, 2nd edition by Jack Winnick, is the first book in this political crime thriller. This book talks about crime, politics, and also has a romantic twist. Lara and Uri, who work for different government agencies, respectively, are both expected to team up and help solve a national problem that could claim millions of lives.
When a bomb goes off in the United States, Uri Levin, a Mossad agent, and Lara Edmond, an FBI agent, have no other option than to team up and fight their common enemy. Lara is very good with computers and she also communicates fluent Arabic, while Uri, who is very experienced in field missions, needs each other's skills to be successful. America is threatened by the bombing of Los Angeles, where many lives are lost. They are told to support Pakistan instead of Israel or more lives will be claimed. They are given only five days to comply or face the consequences of their disobedience. Deploying Lara and Uri, would it turn out to haunt the United States or would their mission be a success with just five days to go? Grab a copy of this fascinating book to satisfy your curiosity.
The book was so good that I never knew it was voluminous until I was done reading it. Lara was the real definition of an independent woman. She was smart, skilled, and romantic. The author of this book showed a lot of experience in the way he narrated events in the Middle East. This book might be a work of fiction, but most of the things stated here are very factual. I wish this terrorist would stop killing innocent people as a means of threatening any government. I must commend the author for the amount of research he put into this book.
This book was so good that I didn't see anything to dislike. The author did good work in character and plot development. The suspense created in this book is also commendable; I must confess that I didn't see a lot of things coming. The way the author started this book made me want to read it. It was not as boring as every other author does. The book would make a nice movie. I can't wait to read the other books in this series.
I'm giving this book a 4 out of 4 star rating. The book was exceptionally well-edited. I didn't see any errors while reading. I would recommend it to people who love reading crime thrillers.
