Darren Burch was just a normal teenager, until he witnessed an accident, in which he could not save a passenger’s life. This made him develop a complex for saving lives. He also learnt from his mother about the terrible attack on his grandmother. While she was younger, a serial rapist had terrorised her community. His painful ordeals later influenced his life decisions and convictions. The tales mirrors the events of his life that led him to become a crime investigator and detective. The story also gives us a glimpse of his family life and the different cases he was involved with.
Most of the tales are from his experience has a law enforcement agent. While some of the tales are minor domestic disturbances some spiral out of control and a ome are simply bizarre.Twisted but True Tales gives an insight on crime related tales. Which are are shocking to the ordinary people but common place for people working in the force.

Twisted but True Tales is a book that can be read in one sitting and in a non-stop fashion. What I loved most about this book were the unexpected outcomes and twist in some stories. I find how the author uses humorous undertones to conceal the seriousness of a situation quite amusing. The mystery and his mystery solving techniques is quite intriguing. Concisely, I would summarize this book as deeply satisfying.

The book was straightforward and easy to discern. The author did not give anything away. Until a particular mystery is solved, you cannot predict what might happen. The book is professionally edited, and the world building is excellent. I enjoyed the storyline, and I was intrigued throughout.

I love everything about this book, and I am giving it a perfect rating of 4 out of 4stars. Due to the graphics and uncensored language, featuring shoot out, sex crime investigations and homicides, this book may not be suitable for everyone.

I recommend this book to a mature/adult audience. Basically, this book is for those who are intrigued by crime stories.
