What would you do if you were given the opportunity to travel abroad and earn good money? How about earning a little extra money while you complete your college degree? Most human trafficking cases stem from these too-good-to-be-true scenarios. The Trafficking Murders by Brian O'Hare tell the tale of some Chinese girls who found themselves in the middle of a sex-trafficking ring. Mingzhu and Hui decided to apply for scholarships to study at a university in Ireland. They were both elated when they got accepted, but had no idea what was waiting for them in the future. Upon starting university, they met some handsome lectures who introduced them to a life of luxury. Before they knew it, they had started escorting high-profile clients and were getting paid good money for it. What will happen when the girls decide they are ready to quit? Who is the mastermind behind the trafficking ring? Who will end up being killed? This book takes you on a rollercoaster ride as it reveals each answer.

The Trafficking Murders is a high-energy, action-packed story that is sure to give you a surge of adrenaline. What I liked most about this book was that the author played with your minds and have you thinking of all possible solutions to the cases. While reading, I started developing my own thesis about who the leader of the trafficking ring was. Brian O'Hare creates a whole world of speculation and drama. I was sad to see the book end. I felt like I wanted to be continuously getting a daily dose of what the inspectors and pathologists deal with on a day-to-day basis. Each character was unique and full of personality. I felt like I knew the entire team. I must commend the author on his amazing writing skills.

I could not find anything to dislike about this book. I had a great reading experience, and I felt like I was watching a crime-drama movie. The environment Brian O'Hare created was very captivating and immersive. This book deserves a perfect score of 4 out of 4 stars.

The Trafficking Murders seemed to be professionally edited. The story had many characters but was written in such a way that was not confusing to the reader. My favorite character was Sergeant Stewart. She was meticulous in carrying out her duties to ensure justice was served.

This book sheds light on human trafficking and helps us understand what goes on in these circles. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading a good crime novel.
