Review of E M P Honeymoon
Kerry recently got married to Tom. They go out to some beach on the continent to spend their honeymoon period. But one day, while Tom was away on a boat ride, Kerry stumbled upon the lair of some really bad people (or so she thinks). Could they be terrorists? And why was a picture of the USA's main power stations on their wall? What exactly is going on? True to the nature of most key characters in Dorothy May Mercer's novels, she, along with some help, goes snooping around. But it seems like they will not be prepared for the secret that they will uncover.
Some of the major themes of E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom are romance, tyranny, hope, smart work, and teamwork. I noticed that these themes were also constants in the other books that I read that were authored by Dorothy May Mercer. Anyways, I have found all of the author's books interesting, and this one managed to top the bar for me. It is filled with so much drama and knowledge about how defense works in the USA. It touched on subjects that many authors have not dared touch on for one reason or another. Some of these subjects are; space battles from a realistic angle and the chain of command of top security outfits in America.
One thing that I am sure of about this book is that it is very interesting. There was suspense and drama in a great abundance throughout it. To be honest, I believe that these suspense-filled plots were what I liked most in E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom. I enjoyed this feature so much that I often took breaks from reading this book to ponder what I had just read and predict what would happen next.
I did not despise anything in E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom. I couldn't dislike anything from the story to the plot and character development. Even the characters of the bad guys developed quite well. So I like it and everything else in this charming novel.
I did not see any errors in it. At first, I thought I did when the narrator said that Senator McBride did not appreciate "crank call" instead of saying 'prank call'. But a quick search on Google told me that crank could be used in the context that it was used in. So I say that it was edited quite exceptionally. So the professional editing plus a gripping storyline equals perfection. And true to its nature, I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it to readers who love books that bring their readers face-to-face with danger and the adrenaline that comes with it.
