Snow Country Lane by Sarah Vail Is a fast paced novel. Sarah Vail takes the reader on an adventure that is centered on crime, politics and kidnapping. This is an exceptional novel that was impossible to put down.

Tim McAndrew is the central character of this story. He is the assistant prosecutor. Tim finds himself at crossroads with his career after a shooting incident. Tim had shot someone who broke into his house. He acted out of self-defense but this was a catalyst for what was to come. Tim along with his wife Dani and two friends decide to go on a holiday. They are followed by Beebe who is a news reporter. Tim, Dani, Scott and Kathy are the main characters in this story. Meanwhile the mysterious unresolved child trafficking cases begin to grow. Whilst on this vacation, Scott and Tim notice a young girl being kidnapped. Tim McAndrew finds himself facing a dangerous syndicate which he sets out to expose.

I enjoyed this crime based story. Sarah Vail has really created a fantastic book with great ideas of politics, crime and child trafficking. It is outstanding how such broad ideas where conceptualized into one story. The character development is good and it is evidently noticeable in the way Tim’s character evolves in the story. The storyline is intense however very simple to follow. Despite how emotionally draining the idea of human trafficking and murder is, this story also highlight the love and friendship that exists between the main characters. I personally found the story to be interesting and captivating. The story also comprised of humor and great adventure which was something I did enjoy.

I did wish that the story was longer because I would have liked to have known more about certain characters. This is a standalone book however this novel would be greatly suited if it were part of a series. I felt that there was some missing gaps regarding the syndicate and what the ultimate goal was in the story aside from trafficking.

Snow Country Lane is an exceptional novel. It has been professionally edited and contains no errors that I found. This is a great thriller that will leave any reader wanting more. The story does contain profanity. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

The story will have any reader hooked. I recommend this novel to mature readers because of the concepts it explores as it can make people aware of the dangers that are out there in this world.
