Money Faucet by Joe Calderwood is a fictional novel that is filled with drug cartels, money laundering and family politics. Client Kennedy is the central character in the story and he works for an infamous drug cartel of Mexico. This is a fast paced story that commences with the murder of a Kingpin whilst Clint is in California. He uses this opportunity to solve his personal family affairs. Clint has to deal with his father who has fallen ill due to having a stroke. Abe, Clint’s brother who is in jail because of embezzling money. He threatens to expose Clint for the illegals transactions being done in the family bank account. Clint attempts to resolve the family problems whilst dealing with the possibility of exposure. The mysterious murders of several Kingpins occur, leaving Pablo enraged. Joe Calderwood has created a world filled of crime and family drama’s which will leave the reader wanting to know more.

I love the fact that the book was unpredictable. I particularly enjoyed the way Clint character develops in the story. Joe Calderwood has done a great job in composing a unique book that is mixed with family problems and a drug war. There characterization is the story was pleasant because we get to see how each character evolves and the role they play in the story. Clint is actually a good person despite his line of work. He funds an underprivileged school for the Mayan children in the area. The story was very simple to follow and easy to understand. There was a constant buildup to the climax.

I feel that Money Faucet was short considering it is a fictional drama. I would have liked to learn more about the characters such as Eddie. The plot did move considerably fast which impacted the way certain character developed. Aside from these, this was great book with a very unique story.

I would rate this story 3 out of 4 stars. I would have liked the book to have been longer but it was a fantastic book with a simple plot. I did not find errors in this story therefore I do feel like it was exceptionally edited. The book does contain numerous profanity throughout the story. The themes of crime, family and money all amalgamated into book just made it unique.

I definitely recommend this book to people who enjoy crime based novels. It makes a lovely light read for all individuals.
