You could say Tom McIntyre had everything: a good job, a nice house, a lovely wife, and two beautiful children. But life had stored something else for him. He's getting fired, his marriage is failing, and his son Daniel discovers his biggest secret. A secret that will start the countdown towards the most horrifying moment of his life. With each day that passes he can feel how all the control is slipping through his fingers and there is nothing, he can do about it.

Duplicity by Fin C. Gray is an unexpected journey full of twists, drama, suspense, and controversial subjects. I loved how bold this book is. This book touches so many different themes, that you could write an individual book for each one. The narrative is captivating, and the ability to jump between the present and the flashbacks is very well done. As well as the incredible details when describing the character's feelings and emotions.

On the other hand, I think the ending was rushed. Fin C. Gray provided an excellent conclusion to the story with something so shocking you can't just brush it off, and I would've liked for him to show more of the public's reaction and the consequences of the final event.

I would rate this book a 3 out of 4 stars. It had no mistakes, so it's professionally edited. I loved this book, but at the same time, I was not able to fully connect with all the characters from the story. In my opinion, there were so many things going on at the same time that it was difficult to fully empathize with everyone.

This book is powerful, but also controversial. However, this book contains profanity, violence, gore, sexual situations, suicide, as well as, scenes of child and animal abuse. I do not recommend this book to younger readers, but if you love drama, suspense, tragic stories with an intense background, then this is a must-read for you!
