Review of E M P Honeymoon
E-M-P Honeymoon, written by Dorothy May Mercer. The book is in the romance genre, though it seems like a fast-paced action thriller. This romance genre book is all about the honeymoon experience of newlyweds sergeant. Tom Turbulo and Kelly McBride at Honduras. The honeymooning couple is from Carson City, New Mexico. The book is humorous, entertaining and educational.
Come meet Kelly and Tom, Kelly was enjoying a lovely honeymoon in Honduras with her husband Tom until she came across something that could change the world, she stumbled onto a terrorist plot to take out the electrical grid in North America. I like the storyline of this book, it explains how easy it is to be destructive using technology. I also like the relationship differences between the members of the American team and the Korean team. I love the interview with Dr. Peter Kinney, the professor of Nuclear physics at the State University in Utah and Noble price winner of physics. The book is well written.
There were no typos that could affect my reading experience. The author does a great job of introducing the main players on both sides, and also manages to keep developments coming at a breakneck space. The author did a clear research on all the topics handled in the plot and there are even more detailed explanations with references attached at the end of the book. There are no sexual scenes and no religious issues. I would have enjoyed the book even more if we had a chance to know more about the characters personality and likes. I like the fact that this book is filled with Scuba diving excursions, guided tours of the local area and white-sand beaches.
The book was well-edited. I rate this book a straight, four out of four stars. I did not notice any spelling or grammatical errors while reading. I like how the subplots and character backstories, all worked together to make for an interesting story.
Nothing about this book felt wasted or unimportant to the plot. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys scientific language, strong female character and political suspense. I would never describe this book as romance so I do not understand why they describe it as such. It is surely an interesting way to spend one's honeymoon. I really enjoy reading this book, it is a standalone, and I would recommend it to lovers of science fiction and solar flares.
