You, The people by Pablo Digenio is a collection of short stories that all fall into the category of either thriller or horror. The stories are as follows: Rebecca Aseptue 'Do it yourself', Alfred Ditezt 'Russian Waltz', Gary Haits 'Number 13', Mike Notsew ' The game of redemption', Johnny Fiendin 'The dream life', and lastly Teresa Egrette 'Three A.M. Throughout the stories, each character is greeted with horrific occurrences based on their personal choices and personalities. The novel consists of 6 different stories, none of which are seemingly connected. In each of the stories, however, the main character is the subject of horror. All of the stories revolve around personal choices and their consequences.

The novel is expertly written aside from a few areas of repetition. Apart from a single spelling error, I can not fault the writing grammatically. The second story titled Alfred Ditezt - 'Russian Waltz' is my personal favorite and I couldn't help but shed a few tears in the saddest part of the story. This particular story stands out as the best in my personal opinion and was a beautifully written thriller.

However, the negative aspects of this novel lie in the fact that most of the stories, not including the above-mentioned 'Russian Waltz', seem half-baked and rushed. The author could have taken his time and a few extra pages to each story to create well-rounded plot lines that could have had the reader engrossed and absolutely glued to the pages. At times, the use of profanity is a bit overkill. The writer has incredible potential and in many scenes, I physically couldn't take my eyes off the words but due to the length of the stories I found that once finished, there was little satisfaction, making them seem like adult campfire spooky stories instead of truly thrilling tales.

I would give this You, The people a rating of two out of four stars . While the excellent writing style definitely is commendable, the stories need to be added to in order to make the book worthwhile reading. The ideas of the stories do tend to follow similar themes, which makes some of the endings quite predictable.

I wouldn't recommend the novel to anyone who wasn't a thriller fan with little time for reading. It must be said that some of the stories are of a fantastical nature and therefore anyone looking for a believable tale would be disappointed, hence the campfire story remark. The age group of readers should definitely be above eighteen as a few scenes can be very mature.

It sounds like the book has potential. It's too bad this isn't quite there yet because it does sound interesting. I just don't think it's finished enough for me to read it yet. Thanks.
