Final Diagnosis by J. T. Madicus is a crime thriller book intertwined with medical drama. The story revolves around an intelligent doctor called Tseng, who is narcissism personified. Despite his addiction to substance he can make a correct diagnosis in the most confusing cases.

The book is humorous and will surely make you chuckle while reading through. Especially, the Tseng's own inner dialogue has been written in a way that will make you smile if not laugh. As a reader, you sympathize with his addiction, but you are left surprised with his quick diagnosis and knowledge of medicine. The fast pace story keeps you gripped enough to the mystery of what will happen next.

If that wasn’t enough, he finds himself with a rather unusual team of sidekicks. Each one of them has a mysterious element to them, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Tseng’s trained eye. They have a dark past that they hide from the public eye.

Yet, each one of them is equipped with a different kind of skill that makes them a good team despite their own personal differences. A mysterious organization is responsible for picking this team. The sole purpose of this team is to solve some medical mysteries in exchange for getting a new lease of life. None of them walked in to this secret project but had no other option other than to work for the organization.

They find themselves in a foreign country being led by a Dr. Tseng, who himself has no clue why he is there in the first place. How this team functions together and musters courage and develops patience to tolerate Tseng’s narcissistic ways forms the story.

I enjoyed reading every page of this book and really liked the writing style of the author. I have nothing bad to say about the book. Author has done a good job in writing a book that explores medical drama with an element of mystery and crime to it.

The editing of this book is professional, and I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors. Besides the story itself, the story telling skill of the author is what impressed me the most. This is the reason I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. There are a few slang words in the book that is used by the characters throughout the book and because of this reason I think the book is best suited for a mature reader interested in the crime-mystery genre.

Thanks for the great review! Your description of the main character reminds me of House from the medical tv show.
