The story Soul Seeker starts with narration of a Firefighter in Illinois named Benjamin Poe. He was arrested with conviction of killing his own son. When asked to elaborate the situation by his lawyer, Poe's perspective is laid out and the author Kaylin Mcfarren gives us the introduction to Soul Seeker, the mysterious being who wreaked a havoc in not just Poe's life.

Benjamin Poe, a respected firefighter captain in Illinois, suffers from family problems. His wife not being that person anymore whom he loved after their daughter dies. His son seeming to get involved in the biggest fire damage in town and realizing later that that's not the only thing he is guilty of. Amidst the chaos, Poe suffers from intervention of this mysterious being in their lives who threatens to disrupt their family permanently. Crighton, one of the best soul catchers in Hell under Lucifer, starts to feel things he shouldn't, being a demon he is. Under the order of Lucifer, he goes to catch souls of two angels but gets distracted by the new information thrown upon him which turns his world upside down. Struggling with good and bad inside him, he also struggles to survive amongst the deep and dark secrets, betrayals and above all love.

I give this fast paced supernatural story 3 out of 4 stars. The writing is really amazing. It is very engaging that I read it not much caring about the story. I loved the characters although there wasn't much insight into it. By the end of the story, there is an ocean of twists in the story that blew my mind away. So I can tell that my most liked thing in this book is the mystery and twists and turns in this book. I appreciate that the author has maintained clear distinction between good and evil, even in the characterization. I also loved the calm and sweet love between the protagonists.

Although I understood that the author wanted us to know the extent of cruelty Soul seeker is capable of by Benjamin Poe, I didn't feel it was necessary to make Poe's story this long. There was actually more content in the Crighton's life which could have been explained more clearly instead of rushing it. I felt everything at the end of the story was done in such a haste that I didn't exactly feel it. It was so fast that I couldn't grasp it properly. I disliked this most here. I also didn't like it where female protagonist's soul was shifted into other women's body. Although in the end it was nulled, I didn't like it. So I can't give it 4 out of 4 stars.

There are hardly any errors in the book. Be it typos or grammatical errors. I found only one mistake where the name was misplaced. I recommend this book to anyone who like a troubled male protagonist, a bit of adventure, who loves a drama with serious twists and turns and above all who likes stories with angels, demons and humans in one supernatural world. I also recommend it to people who appreciate literature since It really is a fine piece of work. I am looking forward to read the other works of the author.
