The Midas Effect had been a term before which connects to the Greek God King Midas whose touch turned everything into gold. But the story also involves gold, but the named "Midas" in the story should make gold instead of touching something to turn it into gold.

There are only a few words that I should describe this book: science and faith. Monica is a religious person (her family are Catholic) but she's a scientist. And she met a man named Miguel which she fell in love with and who she thinks was the "Midas".

The characters were monotone. Castillo is the only character I'm interested because he's the one keep the story going with his evil plots and such.

Some terms of the book is too much scientific, like jargons of scientist. Especially the "quantum inflexor" things which I have to do so much research so that I could understand. I'm not a fan of Science so this book does not interest me much. They also relate this book to the famous NASA but didn't even mention a thing about moons, satellites, or whatsoever. It only mentions about secret rooms and experiments.
