East Wind: Can the Team Foil the Plot to Blow Up American Cities is a fictional story detailing the plot of Hezbollah terrorists to plant and detonate bombs in Los Angeles. The terrorists' recruitment and integration into U.S. society is carefully seamed into the story. While the terrorists work together to carry out their plot, Lara (FBI Special Agent/Analyst) and Uri (Mossad Special Operations Agent) race to decode the online messages between the terrorists and stop the impending death and destruction.

I found the way Jack Winnick created the sense of reality, giving the reader the sense of being there, to be thoroughly enjoyable. The intrigue and suspense keeps the reader involved until the end. There is also an element of romance which adds to the interest of the book. The one drawback for me was that, at times, it became difficult to keep track of certain characters' identity and role. Overall, however, this is an exceptional book that I would highly recommend.

This book would appeal to readers who enjoy stories about espionage, terrorist plots, and crimes involving government agencies such as FBI, CIA, and Homeland Security. Readers interested in nuclear physics and engineering would also enjoy this book due to the details of the assembling of the bomb.

There was a minimal amount of mild language. There was only one erotic scene that was mild in nature. Therefore, the book would be appropriate for a variety of audiences.

Winnick has written an exceptional book that was detailed and descriptive. The book was very well edited with no spelling or grammatical errors found by this reviewer. I would give it a 4/4 rating.

A good book on terrorism and espionage. Another collection of the Lara and Uri series, full of suspense. I look forward to reading it. Great review!
