East Wind is a passionate story which clearly narrates the fate of two countries, which hang on the shoulder of a skilled, fearless young man Uri and a lady computer genius Lara. The text is written by Jack Winnick. Winnick is an engineering professor with forty years expertise in chemical and nuclear engineering. He is also the author of the widely used thermodynamics textbook and hundreds of technical articles. With his astonishing skill and understanding, Winnick is able to plant oceans of knowledge in this novel. Every page, scene and chapter is well explanatory and captivating. Though it is largely an action pack novel, yet the author is able to address issues like romance and friendly relationships.

In the text, Winnick has successfully created an eagerness in the minds of his reader: an eagerness to discover what could become of Khalid, a boy of 16 years old, heading in a pathway of uncertainty but with a very strong belief that he is going in the right way. This evokes the question of 'is the path really the right path?' in the minds of the readers. Hence, the story triggers an arousal in the readers to know what the outcome would be.

The story becomes more complex with the appearance of a computer genius, Lara, that has been a very important figure in her country, and a military field agent, Uri, that just nearly escapes death in the service of his country. Winnick creates a curiosity in the readers, where they desire to know what the appearance of these two has to do with Khalid. Nevertheless, the story gets more interesting as the author gently quenches the readers' curiosity step by step. I have no other option than just to respect the skill and perfectness of the author when he has to launch a series of scene that looks like its a little bit different from the entire story.

There are a lot of interesting scenes in this novel that I cannot mention them all. Though there is the use of slang in the novel that someone might think it is not proper, I found it as a means of expressing the type of relationship between those in the act. Also, it makes the story more interesting and lively. However, I will not recommend this book to a reader below the age of fifteen because of the romance and sexual aspect of it.

At the end of it all, I could not find anything to dislike about the text. I strongly believe it is professionally edited since, in the entire book, there is just only one minor error. I want to sincerely award East Wind by jack winnick 4 out of 4 stars. This rating is traceable to the outstanding skills of the author to make sure the readers will not have any difficulty in reading and understanding the entire story. So for readers who love passionate and interesting stories coupled with love, romance and generally literature lovers, I highly recommend this book.
