I love the content of this book! Dan's story is amazing and it kept me entertained until the end. However, I was not fond of how quickly his life's story went in this book. It felt too short and rushed. I felt like I was just getting to understand a period of his life and in just a few short sentences it was over. The people came and went out of his life (which is how it surely was!) before I had a chance to actually understand what was going on. I wish each story of his world had been expanded to include further details. I got frustrated and almost put it down because it made it feel like you couldn't truly attach to the characters, including Dan. The book was humorous, exciting, full of life and adventure. I would recommend this book as it was an easy read and was an interesting journey of an interesting man. Maybe it's just not my type of writing as I like to invest myself more into each time period. I would give this book 3 out of 4 stars.
