At first, the title Twisted Threads did not attract me to read the book, but after a second look at its cover, it was a picture of a person with a face covered and is in the dark. I changed my mind and thought that Kaylin McFarren might just be describing something sorrowful that concerns life. In deaf it was, Akira is faced between suicide and accomplishing a death mission. I believe she is the person shown on the book cover page. She wants to give up but fears the consequences of her actions. Something has to be done and she is the person who has to do it.

I was not disappointed by the story. The author tells the story of a young girl who is in jeopardy and state of confusion about killing other persons. She is captured and trained by a crime syndicate group to accomplish their atrocities- murdering other persons. She must kill without leaving behind a trace. Fear is not an option in this game of thrones. Failure to execute her duties could result into drastic consequences. The captors have the key to her liberty. She had to do that which they asked. However, her personality does not allow her to freely commit these heinous crimes. She has just completed his first mission and is already embarking on the next one.

The conversations in this novel were excellent. A lot of information is relayed in the course of the dialogues and monologues. Characters like Devin and Akira, Peter and Sarah are always in serious dialogues. The same applies to Akira and her bosses. We get to learn about Akira's next assignment and her reasons for performing those awkward tasks following his conversation with Yuki. She is a helpless lady acting under duress. Until when shall she continue on these outrageous missions? Only time will tell. Moreover, Akira's monologue explicitly reveals her frustrations. All she wanted was a peaceful life.

Akira's personality, behaviour and natural instincts were all very realistic and educational. I felt a degree of sympathy for her. She finds herself in a difficult situation. I could understand her troubles and sorrows as she went through the difficult situations. The mission on the cruise ship is a deadly one and must be completed within a given timeline. To make matter worse, she realizes she was not supplied with proper information. All the same, the task must be accomplished.

I rate the book Twisted Threads at 4 out of 4 stars. The book is entertaining and thought provoking. I enjoyed how the romance developed therein plus it is exceptionally well edited. I found no negative thing in it and thus had no reason to deduct stars. There wasn't anything i didn't like. I highly recommend it to persons interested in romance and thriller fictions. If you know you are a light hearted person, i suggest you look for another novel.
