Betrayal in Blue The Zachary Blake Betrayal Series by Mark M. Bello is a fantastic and suspenseful read. In this time, when hate and violence are becoming more rampant in our society Captain Jack Dylan decides to stop the violence before it happens. Jack Dylan's anti-terrorist squad has found out about an act of violence that is going to be perpetuated on their town. They aim to stop it before anyone can be hurt, and their plan works, almost. The FBI undermines the investigation and the head of the terror group escapes.

Captain Jack Dylan, infuriated by the FBI's ineptitude takes matters into his own hands. Jack Dylan finds the terrorist, but then finds himself under arrest in need of defense. His friend and defense lawyer, Zachary Blake rides in to defend Jack Dylan, and thus, ensues a thrilling trial adventure.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone that like court dramas. The trial was definitely my favorite part of the book. Mark M. Bello keeps you enthralled with the trial. The real world seemed to fall away as I was transported to that small town courtroom, biting my nails just waiting for the outcome. I had to keep reading because I needed to know how it was going to tun out. It was the type of book that begged to be in your hands and finished.

The only thing I questioned about the story, and didn't like, was how Captain Jack Dylan found himself in so much trouble. It wasn't that believable that he would have gotten into as much trouble as he found himself in for what happened. I think that part of the book could have been written a little better, and it also seemed that there was something that could have gotten him out of trouble right away, but was never even brought up again, so that was a little disappointing.

I really enjoyed this book, especially once the trail got underway. It seemed to take awhile to draw me in, but once it did it had me all the way to the end. I give this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. There were a few problems with sentence structure, but not any overt grammatical errors. The sentence wording could have been better so that the sentences flowed and weren't so choppy. A few times I had to reread sentences to understand what was meant. All in all, this was a highly enjoyable read and I recommend it to those who want a fun thrilling read.
