Your review beautifully captures Toni’s flawed humanity—his vulnerability and missteps—making him refreshingly real compared to the usual hardboiled sleuth. The slow‑burn pacing, authentic dialogue, and vivid Parisian setting you describe have me eager to uncover those hidden secrets myself. I can’t wait to dive into Part One!

What seems like a typical marital infidelity case doesn't seem so as Toni, a detective, starts investigating. Hidden family secrets and past secrets keep popping up. Toni's character is appreciable as a vulnerable and an emotional detective.

I’m interested in reading "Parisian Detective Tales, a Trilogy" by Marcel Marquié because Toni seems like a different kind of detective and I really want to know what secrets he uncovers.

After reading the sample chapters of Parisian Detective Tales, a Trilogy, and reading this review by Jaituni Sanghavi, I must say that now more than ever, I am looking forward to reading the entire book.

The book is exciting and thrilling, as detective Toni narrates the life he had after the war in Paris as an American. Mystery, pure mystery, that is what this book entails and this review has enabled me to sniff into the thrilling details of what happened next between Toni, Sandrine and Claudine.

Without giving the excruciating details, Jaituni's review has painted the picture, tone and direction of the book's plot and setting, causing readers to soak into the vibration of the book before even reading one line of it. A rewarding review like this cannot deter any reader who is invested in scenes, tropes and topics of crime thrillers and the likes.

I think it's interesting that Toni Bonnet, a detective who is "no risk taker" and only takes on infidelity cases, ends up with a layered case. Toni is hired by a horsemeat butcher who thinks his wife is unfaithful, but the case turns out to be more complicated than he thought—a mystery involving hidden pasts and family secrets. Congrats on BOTD!
