The book Aluria is a novel by Tyler Cook. Conner Incorporated a modest technology firm built by Raymond Conner one of the richest in Canton. He murdered his wife in cold blood just when his son Jason was just 16 years of age and was locked away after pleading guilty
Jason now 18 years old tired of been treated special by all fell in love with Tessa Warren a lady she knows just a little about and having the best day of his life only to be interrupted by an evil man named Raiz who was after an infinite power.
Actions they say have consequences but Jason didn’t know that protecting Tessa his new found love with his life would lead to him awakening a strange spirit of light called Aluria in him in order to stop the evil Raiz. Jason gave way to Aluria which allowed him to transform into a dragon-like bird to stop Raiz and protect his new found love. He ended up burying Raiz in wreckages of falling building but was disappointed at the fatality he left behind, Jason decided never to allow such happen again which make him embark on a journey to allow him and Aluria fused together and find the tools needed to be the best they can.
After 10 years, Jason came back to be the hero that Canton and the world needed but is faced with a lot to fight for and protect. Jason ended up finding out more about Tessa, His Company, the true identity of Raiz and “The Oracle” the item of infinite power. It is a simple fact that we all have someone close to us that has evil coursing through their vain. Jason got to find out who that is for him late in the story.
I enjoyed many aspects of this fantasy. Jason had a good blend with Aluria which many fantasy lover would like, the Aluria feeding on Jason’s life energy which makes it lovely to read and easy to believe.
The Oracle a magical object which was introduced into the story and it was explicitly described and its history stated in details which will pique the interest of many fantasy lovers. Jason also possesses a magical necklace which was a symbol of Aluria which allow him to speak and transform to Aluria when needed.
The story was greatly descriptive and will prick the heart of any reader, it flows continuously and was filled with suspense in all ways, suspense of the identity of Raiz, Who Tessy is, and who and what Raiz was actually after. The story also featured many technologies which I cannot even described which a more than imagination. Even though the story was interesting and detailed, I know readers would have loved to read about how the past 10years was spent and his surgeon around the world. Sadly it was missing.
The book ending was great as expected and is greatly defined by this quote in the book “Nobody knows what they are capable of until someone that you care about is threatened”, It also offer a link to the next story line including captain myers as the hunt for Alluria will commence.
This Book was professionally edited, and the story was awesomely written. I stayed involved from the beginning to end and am actually looking forward to reading the next book. Even though I had some complains, that didn’t compromise the quality of the story. This book is perfect for all age range. I found no faults in Aluria, therefore am rating it 4 out of 4 stars.
