Heaven and earth is a fictional book by Arturo Riojas that discusses the fall of the human race due to cadmium poisoning and questions whether several U.S government agencies are doing enough to protect their citizens as normal citizens such as Olga and Gavilan become protagonists in the situation at hand.

At the very beginning of the book, the storyline is quite unclear and boring but the author manages to maneuver and builds upon the story as I went through the chapters. I found myself quite irritated most of the time while reading this book because the authors' English was not well polished and used ambiguous words that are unnecessary to the common reader who is the target audience of such knowledge.

There were many grammatical errors that lead to poorly built sentences across the chapters of the book such as when Orville, Gavilan, and Olga were meeting Bill at the warehouse;“Wait here,” Orville instructed the silent duo as he emerged from the cab of the pickup to meet the man who approached. They met about ten yards in front of the pickup and shook hands, pulling each other into an embrace that was accompanied by several strong pats on the back.
The paragraph was poorly constructed and lost its meaning hence affecting the books' story negatively.

One thing that impresses me with this book is the relevance it has to why we should avoid certain things that might lead to cadmium poisoning as it intensively explains how cadmium gradually affects our health and how it has no value to our bodies hence toxic even at the lowest levels and this is so helpful to those people who've never heard of the culprit of poisoning Cadmium as they can now monitor what they eat and drink.

I will give this book a rating of 2 out of 4 because it failed to justify its title and was way out of the scope of a sci-fi novel. Sci-fi is meant to keep us engaged as we anticipate the story to be unfolded but the author failed to do so in this particular book.
I think the writer would have done a better job by not using complicated words and constructing well-polished sentences. :techie-reference: The reason am not giving it a 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 4 is because it is generally not engaging and I never gave it a 1 out of 4 because its an educative book.
