How far are you willing to go to protect what you have so meticulously created? What if it costs you everything you hold dear? Would you surrender it if it means you can escape but the price would be paid by the whole world?Ava and Rek thought of all these but chose to protect their creation, even at the cost of themselves.

In the first few chapters of the book, I went from confused to somewhat intrigued to fully drawn into the story. Ava and Rek are in a completely different setting, yet going through the same misfortune. Bad forces want to take over their creation, either to destroy or cause destruction. Both unwilling, they decide to fight against whatever they are faced with. But they can't do it alone, and they did get help.

After Ava and Rek meet, they form an instant connection with each other. Both needing each other and others to move forward in their mission. To be honest, it was plainly evident, without all the support, help, and advice at the right times, neither of the protagonists could've protected their creations.

The story ended and left us with many unanswered questions and unresolved issues. Some characters who initially showed good potential remained unexplored. I think the author could've utilised their resources a little more.

Rek went from main character to side character towards the second half of the book. While Ava grew as a character throughout. She went from a damsel in distress to a rightful heroine by the end of the book. And her focus shifted from saving just her company and their creation to saving the world in the span of the story.

While the book was enjoyable, some chapters seemed hasty and too complex for me. Too much information dumps were happening all at once, which made it even harder to comprehend.
The philosophy and technique with which Rek's world works on intrigued me many times. The thought of how death might just be a soul's transcendence of dimensions just makes so much sense.

I rated this book a 4 out of 5. It could have been an excellent read if the author had kept the characters and their development stable throughout the story. Many initially interesting characters were dropped out of the blue. The upper dimension just became a backdrop while I was expecting some more exploration.

All in all, great book. Wouldn't have minded a few extra chapters on what happened afterwards as well.
Great efforts, dear author. Keep going.
