Where do I even start? This book, Fish Wielder is one of the wittiest, weird sense of humor books that I have ever read. The humor is so stupid that you will fall in love with the book almost instantly! The book is strange but that's what makes it special. It may not seem like it has a plot but it does! To give a summary, the story involves evil, a sorcerer, pudding, and a prophecy. The hero basically gets thrown into a quest to find the Heartless One before the sinister forces become unstoppable. Elves play a key part in this also. It sometimes gets hard to find these things in between all of the jokes and comedy though. Just when you think you have it figured out, there are so many twist and turns that you'll never see coming.

The hero, Thoral Fist Wielder, is your stereotypical hero: tall, dark, and handsome. He is so done with life. He had a thing for being clean... and has amazingly white teeth. He rescues an elf princess, which is basically his entry to the quest.

His trusty sidekick is a koi fish named Brad, who can't swim. Brad puts up with all of Thoral's dramatics. And there are a lot of those. Thoral's mighty steed is named Warlordhorse... I'm just going to leave it at that.

Hardison's style is really funny, and he plays on phrases so well. The book reminded me of a mix of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and Lord of the Rings, which it is pretty much a parody of. There are so many references in this book to other things, I don't know how Hardison did it! Comedy on steroids!

I would rate it a 3 out of 4. It was a good book but not my absolute favorite. Sometimes the jokes were a little off, and I would think, "Did he really just say that?", but that only happened once or twice. I would not rate it a 2, because it had a really good quality about it that is hard to find in books. I loved how short the chapters are, and how the comedy never let up throughout the book. If I ever need a laugh I will definitely find this book and flip through the pages! It is one that I would recommend to friends and family. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and it will certainly be one that I will not forget anytime soon!
