The Devil Pulls the Strings
Author: J.W. Zarek

In this story, we have a main character—Boone Daniels. He plays guitar and participates in a joust. Also, Boone has problems like a wendigo haunting him since six years of age and he can catch a panic attack, and he almost kills his best friend. After that he should replace his friend on a New York gig (Boone promised).
And now everything interesting is just beginning: visions, time travel and Paganini’s music. You will see descriptions of music.

I was interested in this book when I saw Baba Yaga in the description (and that it is related to music). And… yep, magic, mythical creatures, and other dimensions await you. It will travel excellently with funny moments and jokes. It is a good book to read with friends and discuss this. Because you will want to share moments with them.
On the positive side of the book, I will note the main character. I liked Boone and how he dealt with his panic attacks, and yep, it was difficult, and some help was given him. I saw him as an honest person who keeps his word.

I gave 4 out of 5 stars because I was tired from this dynamic narrative. This was a minus for me; I wanted to have calm in the middle of the book. But then I joined this narrative again and went through the story.

I didn’t find any typos or errors in the book; I was just immersed in the story.

This book will help you to rest after a hard-working day; it makes you calm and funny. I recommend it if you like a funny story with a dynamic narrative. You will find irony and jokes on the pages of the book, as well as an excellent main character. The appearance of domovois lifted my mood, and so did the other interesting characters. But I think that the book can trigger people with religion, since there is a devil and other mythical creatures.
