In this anxiety-driven story, Garrett Long and his team join in a desperate mission to save humanity from the planet’s impending destruction.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5. The editing was excellent, with no glaring issues in punctuation or spelling. The book was entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat however, some parts delved too deeply into scientific details, which led to occasional boredom.

The characters in readers are confronted with heavy questions such as bouncing to drive to save the human race while knowing they can’t save everyone it was compelling to follow them characters to sign the end of the world, and found the balance between helping others and focusing on the mission.

Character Analysis:

Garrett Long: an intelligent and compelling character, though at times he came across as a spoiled brat.

Jennifer: a compelling love interest to his background story regarding her past relationship felt like unnecessary filler or families background provided better motivation for her actions.

Becky: the commander and chief the author did a great job demonstrating the internal battle. She faced, caught between her obligations, take care of everyone in the reality that it was impossible due to the circumstances she was the easiest to relate to and was by far of my favorite character in the book.

Jeff Long: a great support character adding a touch of unpredictability to the team I would have liked more insight into his thoughts and motivation. He is presented as someone willing to break the rules do the right thing, but it would be more realistic to see him struggle with some of his decisions and contemplate the potential consequences for his family and position.

The writing style was descriptive and adhered to scientific accuracy. While the detailed scientific part sometimes became tedious, they added authenticity to the events and contributed to the anxiety felt by both the characters and the reader.
