What I enjoyed best about this book was its beautiful literary style; the story was well-paced and intriguing at every stage. I absolutely enjoyed the perfect blend of Celtic myth and Native American legends. The author’s descriptions were rich and evocative, painting vivid pictures that brought the settings and characters to life. Each scene was detailed and immersive, allowing readers to feel as if they were part of the story.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. I absolutely loved reading this book; the descriptions, motives, and histories, though long, were deeply engaging and added incredible depth to the story. I also loved the inclusion of the Irish ballad at the beginning of the story; it set a poetic tone that resonated throughout the book. The ending of the book seemed like a setup for a sequel, and I absolutely look forward to reading it. Roan by E. R. Barr is a work of fiction that seamlessly blends science and magic, offering a deeply immersive experience of distant lands and cultures. Set in the made-up village of Tinker’s Grove, Wisconsin, this story is a well-crafted fantasy that explores the themes of good and evil, innocence and cunning, magic and adventure. The book takes the readers on a journey through a charming and magical place where characters face timeless struggles.

I rate this book five out of five stars because of its compelling narrative, richly developed characters, and the immersive world it creates. For lovers of mystery, science fiction, and a coming-of-age tale, this book is an absolutely amazing book that I highly recommend.
