I rate this book a five out of five stars. I enjoyed reading this book. The more I read, the more I was drawn into the story. The sexual content I rate is one out of five. There were no sexual scenes in this book. I did, however, notice there were sexual innuendos and comments that left the audience in suspense, leaving them to use their imagination. Regarding the typos and errors, I only noticed one error. This book was so well written and edited that it deserves a five-star rating. The editing team did a phenomenal job in creating a masterpiece for our time. This book did contain a hefty amount of profanity. I am not a huge fan of the use of profanity; however, the profanity used in this book fits each character. The profanity used brings these characters to life and makes them real. I gave this rating due to the vivid imagery, the well-written backstories, and the nearly perfect editing. The only flaw or negative thing I have to mention about this book is its gore and its ending. In regards to the gore of the book, I was not a huge fan because I am a visual thinker and learner. With that being said I could see the images as I read the story. Some of these images were violent and graphic. Considering the conclusion of the story, it was an unexpected cliffhanger. The only reason why I find that this ending was negative is because I so desperately wanted to keep reading. In conclusion, one thing I would like to have read more of is the storyline of the crazy old man. Every time he was featured in this book, it was beyond hilarious.
Overview
This story was honestly a little all over the place. It wasn't like a traditional book that stuck to one topic and one or two characters. This book branched out. There were many different people, many different lands, and many different plots that slowly intertwined and connected. One key thing that I specifically appreciated about the author's creativity was the number of days they had in a year. I thought that was different and very useful in creating the lives of the Voulharian people. Interestingly enough, this visual map of lands reminded me of the different lands in the cartoon show Avatar: The Last Airbender. This truly was a great storyline and a wonderful read. I would recommend others read and enjoy it.
