3 out of 4 stars

Solaris Seethes is a book about how a planet gets destroyed and a girl (Rynah) escapes aboard a spaceship named Solaris and has to find a way to save her planet. Rynah learns that she has to follow an ancient prophecy and that she has to acquire the assistance of four very unlikely people to help her save the planet. The book is both riveting and filled with suspense, but in the long run a really good book. I would have to rate this book 3 out of 4 stars because although it kept my attention there were a couple things that I disagreed with.
One thing that I liked about this book was the characters themselves. Each of the characters contributed something to the story in some way and each of them had chances to figure themselves out in order to get acquainted with what was going on. I liked how their personalities changed over the course of the book because it allowed me to become better connected with who the characters were. I thought that the characters developed in a good way and didn't downplay what the story was about.
Another thing that I liked about this book was the storyline itself. It was written in such a way that really kept my attention. I didn't get bored reading it and most times I didn't want to put it down because it was that good. For a book to keep my attention it has to be written in such a way that would capture my attention to the fullest and this book did exactly that. I liked how everything made sense and that nothing happened that deviated from what the story/book was about because it didn't jump around confusing me on what was happening.
Something that I didn't like about this book was the ending because I felt like something else could have happened to prevent the outcome of how it actually ended. I get why it had to happen, but it still didn't sit well with me at all. It wasn't how it was written that I didn't like it was just what happened that I am not liking. It ended at a cliff hanger as well and normally (depending on what happened) I can be okay with that, but the way that this cliff hanger was it gets on my nerves because now I feel like something is going to change to throw everybody off.
As I read the book I was being mindful of any errors that might pop up just because I am like that with the books that I read, but I didn't come across any. There didn't seem to be of any spelling or grammar issues/errors that I could see from reading the book. Everything looked alright to me, but maybe there were things I overlooked or don't remember actually seeing anything. I read the entire book from the beginning to the very end and from what I could tell there wasn't any punctuation issues either.

I agree the sacrifice was a bit cliche, especially after the character hadn't really been developed enough for readers to feel any real sense of loss.FrankiProw wrote: ↑24 Jan 2018, 01:26 Something that I didn't like about this book was the ending because I felt like something else could have happened to prevent the outcome of how it actually ended.
