The Elf Accord takes the readers back to the first Santa to live at the North Pole. Santa Leopold is too comfortable in Klaus Valley located in the heart of the Austrian Alps. With the world changing around them, Santa Leopold must leave the Klaus Valley in search of a new home. The new home is located at the top of the world. Santa Leopold and his people faced many dangers and problems along the way to the top of the world, but what awaits him and his people at the top of the world is the most dangerous. The top of the world is dominated by Polar Bears who are not too happy about the new arrivals taking some of their land. Once the problem with the Polar Bears is resolved, the readers watch the complex grow from pits to buildings. The readers also find out how people became the first elves.
I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. The book is a 2.5 due to a few spelling mistakes, several grammatical errors, and the use of homophones or using a word that sounds the same, but has a different meaning.
I chose this book because I've read the other three in the series. Ignoring the errors, I find the plot and story line to be realistic in a sense that readers can feel what each character feels and be apart of the story. The author does a wonderful job of catching the reader in the story and keeping the reader attached throughout the book.
Other readers would choose this book because it brings a new set of ideas about the Christmas tradition. The books in the series so far are family friendly and can be read by anyone who is interested in a different viewpoint of Christmas.
As said above, the story line is what I like and keeps me wanting to read the series. I like following the characters from the beginning of their journeys to the destination at the North Pole. No one's journey is done as each person/elf with continue to find their way in a new place.
I mentioned about different types of errors, but all of this author's book have these errors. The most glaring error is the use of homophones because it catches your eye and then the reader has to figure out the word the author actually wanted. The grammatical errors are caught throughout the book, but can to ignored. The spelling errors are few and far between, but are still seen throughout the book. I dislike the prequel being in the middle of the series, but it flows with the other books this way.
