Review of Timewise
"Timewise" by Robert Leet is an engaging science fiction novel that delves into the exciting world of time travel and quantum physics, taking readers on an exhilarating journey. The story follows Ron Larsen, an orphan who meets Regina Russo, a very smart physics professor. Regina teaches Ron about advanced math, which leads to a journey of scientific discovery and adventure.
The novel starts off slowly, but the story starts to pick up when Regina begins explaining her complex theories to Ron. At first, Ron isn’t interested, but he becomes more involved as he sees how the theories could be useful. After graduating, Ron moves to New York to work on getting a Ph.D. in math, focusing on fractals. While working on this, he starts working closely with Sheila, and their professional relationship develops into a romantic one.
Ron's life changes when he receives a call from Regina asking for help. When he returns to see her, she asks him to help her build a secret time machine. Their work is kept secret because the FBI is suspicious. As they face many challenges, the main question is whether they can be successful in achieving their ambitious goal of building a time machine.
The author does a great job creating the characters and the unique plot. The female characters, Regina and Sheila, are particularly well-developed and play an important role in shaping Ron's growth and perspective on life. The story teaches valuable life lessons, showing how unexpected relationships can have a profound impact on one's life.
One of the highlights of "Timewise" is its intricate and well-developed plot that keeps readers engaged and guessing. The characters are well-rounded and believable, with distinct motivations and flaws that add depth to the story. The novel's exploration of time travel challenges readers to consider the potential consequences that changing the past could have. The author's writing style is easy to follow and engaging, using descriptive language to vividly depict different time periods and settings, which creates a compelling reading experience.
While the book is captivating, some readers might find the detailed explanations of physics and science to be overwhelming. The author goes into a lot of detail about technical concepts, which can be challenging for those not familiar with these areas. This can make the story feel dense at times, which can detract from the overall enjoyment for some readers. There are no dislikes for the book.
However, the book does not provide much information about Regina's past, which leaves a gap in the story. Giving more details about her background would have added more depth to her character. Despite this, the book is exceptionally edited, with no errors in grammar or spelling.
Overall, "Timewise" is an exciting read that combines adventure, action, and love with scientific exploration. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for its gripping plot and well-developed characters. This book is highly recommended for those who enjoy science fiction and fantasy, as well as those interested in the complex relationship between time and physics.
