Janet McNulty's Solaris Seethes is a science-fiction novel that was written with the intention to entertain and encourage the readers to imagine the worlds outside the universe. I really did enjoy reading it.

Solaris Seethes is the first book of the Solaris Saga. Rynah is one of the protector of a magical crystal that is the source of the magnetic field that protects her planet, Lanyr.The crystal was taken from the laboratory by her fiance, Klanor, which caused devastation to her planet. According to their myth, when the six crystals are gathered, it can create a weapon that can destroy an entire sector. Rynah escaped her dying planet with the help of the ship that her grandfather created, Solaris.

Solaris, an artificial intelligence installed in the ship helped Rynah to her quest to stop Klanor and save not only her planet but also the other planets. With the help of the four humans; Solon, Alfric, Brie and Tom, that was destined to help her, she tried her best to gather the crystals.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a combination of Star Wars and Star Trek. I like the actions and how Solaris works. There are times that I hate Rynah because of how she treat Brie and her being bossy to others. I like the character if Alfric. He protected his companions even if he didn't know them long enough especially Brie. This book is not only to entertain the readers, but it will also teach you how to treat the other members of your group. I cried while reading the book because of what happened to Brie.

Reading this book made me realize that not everyone that care about can be trusted. That no matter what you do, there is still a chance that they will stab you in the back. Rynah's character is somehow reminds me of myself, vengeful and bossy.

Solaris Sleethes is about team work. It is how will you handle your team to accomplish a specific task. It is also about having a courage to face your fears and do what you have to do to save others, even if it means sacrificing everything you have.

I give this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. There are times I can't follow the story. The flashbacks should be italized so that the readers will not be confuse. Despite of not having a perfect star from me, this book is really good. This book is worth it especially to the sci-fi lovers out there.
