In the book "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz, we are transported to the fantasy realm of Voulhire. The sea surrounding Voulhire belongs to the Emperor of Lullabies, who gifted his children with four islands southwest of Voulhire to avoid being killed by them, as they covet his throne. These islands, known as The Lands of the Princes, are in constant war, with the Emperor's sons fighting amongst themselves. Fugitives from The Lands of the Princes, seeking refuge in Voulhire, wreak havoc in the cities and disturb its inhabitants. The King of Voulhire had to restrict immigration from the Lands of the Princes, except under special circumstances. It is in this context that Galen Bray, a native of the Lands of the Princes, inherits his late great-uncle's forge in Voulhire and sets out for a new life.

The narrative takes us along with Galen on his travels through Voulhire. The author skillfully weaves multiple storylines, offering readers a comprehensive view of life in Voulhire. From the outset, Galen stands out as a captivating character, especially for his determination to find the good in every situation, following his grandmother's advice.
In addition to Galen's journey, the book introduces other intriguing plots, such as the two worlds coexisting in Voulhire, the mystery surrounding Lord Meldorath, and the supernatural events in the castle. These different stories intertwine, making the reading engaging and enjoyable.

This book is only the first in a series of nine novels, and I look forward to following more of Galen's adventures. I rate the book 5 stars due to its impeccable editing.

I recommend "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" to all adult fans of fantasy and adventure. Although the cover and title may not accurately depict the book's content, it is important to note that the book contains some mildly sensual scenes, occasional profanity, and addresses a sensitive theme such as pedophilia, making it unsuitable for minors.
