Robert Leet's Timewise centers on Ron, an orphan who spent his early years moving through adoption homes. Although Ron once enjoyed playing poker and chess, he didn't pursue these hobbies because the money he made wasn't enough to pay his bills.

At a chess competition, Ron meets Regina, a professor at a nearby college, and this is how the novel starts. After realizing Ron's potential, Regina decided to pay for his college education. After graduating from college, he attended a fully sponsored Ph.D. program in Seattle. Did this program help him fulfill his dream? Was the better life he so dearly wanted coming to an end with his transfer to Seattle?

The author explained why he believes that time travel might be made possible by changing current beliefs. Instead of asserting that time travel is conceivable, I appreciated how the author provided examples of his beliefs and maintained the story and concepts as plausible. Finding out about the protagonist's childhood and the challenges he faced on his path to becoming a prosperous businessman was also fascinating. I found no errors in the book; it highlights how well-edited it was.

The book explores scientific ideas, especially those that have to do with time. Although some readers might find this feature boring, I thought the book flowed well and found it to be entertaining. I had no complaints about the book because the plot moved along smoothly and made for a pleasurable read from beginning to end. Ron was determined and worked hard to attain success.

Regina plays such a vital role in Ron's life; it highlights the importance of having a parental figure in a child's life. There was nothing I disliked about the book. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. Readers who love time travel books will enjoy this one. It has a lot of mystery.
