Casindra Lost by Marti Ward is a science fiction novel set in the Paradisi Chronicles, a multi-author universe that explores the colonization of a new planet in the Andromeda Galaxy. The novel follows Captain Jerome Sideris, a skilled engineer and pilot who is sent on a solo mission to survey four planets for potential settlement. Along the way, he has to deal with an artificial intelligence named Al, who is more than meets the eye, and a cat named Simba, who has a special bond with him.

The novel is a captivating and imaginative adventure that blends hard science with human emotion. The author creates a realistic and detailed depiction of space travel, wormholes, alien worlds, and futuristic technology. The novel also explores themes such as loneliness, identity, ethics, and the meaning of life. The characters are well-developed and engaging, especially Sideris, who is a complex and sympathetic protagonist. Al and Simba provide humor and companionship for him, as well as challenges and surprises.

Casindra Lost is a novel that will appeal to fans of science fiction, especially those who enjoy stories about space exploration and colonization. It is also a novel that will make readers think about their own place in the universe and their relationship with technology. Casindra Lost is the first book in the Lost Mission series, which promises to reveal more secrets and mysteries of the Paradisi Chronicle.
Overall the book is good book to read.
