We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, written by Matthew Tysz, marks the beginning of an immersive series set in the kingdom of Voulhire—a realm teeming with kings, mages, knights, terrorists, and a pervasive undercurrent of evil and corruption. Galen Bray, the protagonist, inherits a steel forge business in the tranquil city of Magnum Caelum, seeking solace from the ongoing War of the Princes. As the narrative unfolds, the execution of dissatisfied lords, notably Lord Medorath, sheds light on disturbing experiments conducted on the town's unsuspecting citizens. This thought-provoking tale raises questions about whether Galen's pursuit of peace has merely led him to exchange one war for another.

The book adopts a captivating twist-and-turn format, deftly shifting the spotlight across a diverse cast of characters. It skillfully elucidates the distinction between the realms of Cosmos and Caromentis, facilitating readers' comprehension of the extraordinary journey between these two worlds. There is nothing about it that I despise. I do have a few suggestions for enhancements, though. If the author includes a table of contents and page numbers, I believe the book will be more appealing. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival beneath Great Skies absolutely deserves a rating of 5 out of 5 stars for its powerful characters, captivating storyline, multidimensional plot, and exceptional editing due to the absence of errors.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to readers in search of an enthralling read that captivates from the very first page to the last. While the deliberate pace may appeal more to those who savor a slower-paced mystery, fans of magic and fantasy will find themselves wholly immersed in the enchanting world of Voulhire.
