We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a book of 199 pages written by Matthew Tysz that tells a story that connects the spiritual and physical realms.

The book talks about a country called Voulhire, the different cities with their stories, and how the cities are interconnected. Magic was permitted in this country. It was also feared due to its abuse by a well-respected former General who made himself Lord of one of the cities, Hillport. Soulhire was the capital of Voulhire and where most of the elite citizens dwelt. There was also the most industrialized city, the quiet and peaceful city, the Holy city where the priest and monks reside, and the land of the prince, where survival is all the citizens know. They cannot remember what it was like to live a good and happy life. So, most of their citizens try to flee to the land of Voulhire. To know more about this country called Voulhire, how the citizens in each city interact and live their lives, and the challenges they each go through, especially from rivals and their leaders, read the book to discover all of this and more.

The author explained that there are different kinds of mages, and each of them got their skill from how they could find a balance between the physical and spiritual realms. The book is a historical novel with mystical touches and war. It expressed humans’ love for power and control. The book also showcased love and affection among one another, as was seen in Lord Meldorath’s character towards the people and the Aldermans for the people, respectively.

There was nothing to dislike about the book. The book was interesting, and I liked how most of the characters had their point of view. It was like they were all telling their own story, and I was able to understand how they saw the world they lived in. Though the book had different views, the stories still intertwined, and it was fun reading it. I would rate the book 5 out of 5 stars for all-around excellence. I found no errors while reading, which shows that it was exceptionally well-edited.

For those who love historical and mystical stories, this is the kind of book I would recommend for them. There are also adventures in this book that are entertaining. The book is suitable for teenagers and adults but not for kids because they would not comprehend the storyline, and it could instill fear in them.

This book was intriguing. There was the character, Meldorath. This character confused me. His story made me wonder if he was truly the book's villain. I also appreciated the way he thought and carried himself. Nice review.

You captured the diversity of the different cities very well and managed to describe perfectly the whole plot behind the story. That is so commendable, thank you.

Tysz's prose is elegant and evocative, painting a vivid picture of both the beauty and darkness within Voulhire.

Voulhire is like a time machine into what our society has been like, but love will always make a way
