I really enjoy this coloring book. I love the fantastical pictures and the designs. The only critique I have is that some pages are a little more faded and/or more blurry than others which could have resulted from a faulty printing process. This can make it difficult to tell exactly what you’re coloring. However, on the bright side, that allows for some creative improvisation! Because of the printing inconsistencies, I give this coloring book a 4 out of 5. Every page offers a glimpse at the landscapes from the artist’s mind. Volume one is all about Gnome Homes and covers my personal difficulty levels from easy(fewer details and finished in a day) to hard (very detailed and finished after multiple days). It is easy to become swept away bringing to life a town, city, or country cottage. Each picture also comes with an inspirational quote to nudge the reader forward. The scenery offered provides a very serene snapshot in time. The homes and towns look as if they are in the early hours before its people wake, or even the late hours of the evening when the population has turned down for the night, leaving the readers with a picture of stillness in the lives of the gnomes. I will definitely be looking forward to any future volumes of the Fantasy Realm Coloring Book series that are released. I can’t wait to see what other pieces of fantasy art is offered to the reader to color and create! I certainly find solace while coloring these beautiful and mystical images. It is also easy for me to lose track of time, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing! In my opinion, I believe this series will continue to improve with the passing of time and impress the readers even more while taking them into the realms of fantasy.
