Matthew Tysz's remarkable masterpiece, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, delves into profound themes including the mystical realm of magic, the impact of war on ordinary people, the intricacies of politics, and the noble concept of chivalry. This extraordinary work transports readers to a medieval era, where the pursuit of an idyllic society is etched into the consciousness of a select few amidst a backdrop of enchantment and war-ravaged cities.

In a captivating blend of prehistoric and medieval settings, the story unfolds with Galen, a determined refugee, fleeing his war-ravaged homeland in search of a better life in an unfamiliar land. However, his aspirations for goodness are swiftly disrupted as he finds himself thrust into a nation grappling with power struggles and plagued by the activities of Riva Rohavi, a rebel faction intent on shattering the fragile peace of Voulhire. Simultaneously, in another corner of the realm, conflicting power struggles ensue, leading to the tragic loss of innocent lives. The once-stable Kingdom of Voulhire now teeters on the edge of chaos, triggered by the escape of a former magistrate and mage, the once-lord of Hillports, who had been imprisoned for a previous act of manslaughter. Will survival be possible? Can the King avert the impending crisis and prevent his homeland from descending into the same war-torn state as Galen's Land of Princes?

I deeply appreciate the author's exceptional writing prowess, their adeptness in crafting well-developed characters, and their ability to present multiple perspectives within the book. What particularly struck me was Galen's remarkable resilience, considering his upbringing in a strife-ridden country, as he strived to adapt to his new surroundings and carve out a meaningful existence for himself. The author's masterful storytelling also skillfully delved into the profound repercussions of war, leaving a lasting impact on the reader. Additionally, I found Eldus Alderman to be an admirable character, despite the challenges he faced during his tenure as the Lord of Hillport. He exemplified leadership guided by compassion, dedicating himself to nurturing the talents and efforts of his people, thereby fostering a sense of unity and empowerment.

Hence, I disliked nothing about the book, as the author wholeheartedly utilized their available resources and expertise to craft this enchanting masterpiece that captivated my heart. I firmly believe that this work would be immensely valuable to enthusiasts of classical literature, while also holding significant relevance for students studying literature, history, and various fields of general studies. Moreover, I highly recommend this book to aspiring writers across all genres, as it serves as a profound guide for honing their craft and further advancing their skills.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars, as there is absolutely nothing to detract from my admiration for its captivating character development and engrossing plot. I extend my heartfelt applause to the writer for their exceptional work, which is further enhanced by the exceptional editing and absence of errors throughout the book.
