Running for his life, unable to fight back, Galen Bray makes it to the ship, finally at peace. The ship brings him to Voulhire, a kingdom booming with prosperity, peace, and unmatched in excellence. Voulhire seems flamboyant to him, but just like a coin has two sides, Voulhire also has a magnificent and a terrific side too. Will he get the future and peace he is looking for in Voulhire?

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a fantasy series. The story is set in a multiverse where the physical world is paralleled by a magical world. In this novel, magic is given its own dimensions, presented as something secret, something that everybody does not know and those who know it are capable of causing the tranquility of the kingdom to be disrupted.

There are two lines of events which are happening in parallel, the life of Galen and the events that are happening in the kingdom. Galen is a refugee from the land of the Princes, devastated by war and poverty. Though he received a handsome sum of inheritance from his uncle in Voulhire, there is still a lot for him to learn. Soon he befriends Rowan who takes him on the way of learning to forge. Meanwhile, the kingdom of Voulhire celebrates entering into a golden age except the the town of Hillport which is still under the shadow of past events. King Wilhelm Arcolo wants to keep his kingdom at peace while his old friend and ex-general Meldorath stands in his way. After Meldorath is arrested, there is uncertainty about his death and no one knows what happened to him.

I found this book excellent for reading so I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars rating. Not five for the reason though magical and some politics involved the plot is explained clearly with so much clarity that there is no mystery or suspense. Every chapter introduces each character and sheds light on the story. Every event is connected to another at the same time, keeping a distinction between the timelines of Galen and the rest of Voulhire. The way Matthew Tysz has crafted magic among worlds is quite nice and makes it worth reading.

I recommend this book to everyone who likes to read adventure, magic, with great details, diving into the story while imagining every scenario. For such kinds of readers this book will serve as a perfect manual to experience a world out of the box.
