Robert Leet's debut novel, Timewise, is a true masterpiece that transcends genres and captivates readers with its innovative storyline, relatable characters, and expertly crafted narrative. From the first page to the last, Leet's writing style draws readers into a world of science, romance, and conspiracy that is both thrilling and thought-provoking.

The story's protagonist, Ron Larson, is a remarkable character that readers cannot help but root for. His love for mathematics, chess, and poker makes him a relatable character. Still, it is his remarkable talent and unyielding determination that makes him truly exceptional. As Ron's journey unfolds, readers are introduced to Regina Russo, a beautiful physics professor whose passion for quantum physics sets the foundation for the story's scientific theories.

One of the aspects of this book I liked most is that Leet's writing is a masterclass in science fiction storytelling that is both exciting and mind-bending. His scientific expertise is evident in his ability to explain complex theories and concepts in a way that is both accessible and understandable to readers with varying levels of scientific knowledge. From the construction of the time machine to the intricacies of time travel, Leet's writing is meticulously researched and expertly presented. However, the book's romance and the relationship between Ron and Regina genuinely sets it apart. Despite their age difference and disparate backgrounds, Ron's unwavering devotion to Regina is heartwarming and inspiring. The development of their relationship is natural and believable, and readers cannot help but feel invested in their journey. As the story progresses, the tension and suspense build as Ron and Regina become embroiled in a conspiracy that threatens their experiments. The threat of government interference and the fear of being labeled as terrorists adds a layer of complexity to the story, keeping readers engaged until the very end.

There's nothing to dislike about this book. While the book's scientific focus may make it challenging for readers with little or no knowledge of quantum physics, Leet's ability to explain complex scientific theories and concepts understandably is remarkable. His background as a structural engineer gives him a firm grasp of the scientific structure and the mechanisms behind the time machine's construction, adding credibility to the story that sets it apart from other science fiction novels.

Leet's writing style is flawless, with well-crafted characters that feel like real people with flaws and quirks. His ability to create an immersive world that is both familiar and otherworldly is a testament to his skill as a writer. The plot is expertly paced, with just the right amount of tension and suspense to keep readers engaged from start to finish. This well-written novel is well-edited to ensure it lacks grammatical errors and typos.

In conclusion, Timewise is a must-read for anyone looking for a thrilling and emotionally engaging story that will leave them thinking long after the last page has been turned. Leet's masterful storytelling, expert scientific knowledge, and relatable characters create an unforgettable reading experience that will capture the imagination of anyone who loves intriguing stories fused with ambitions, romance, conspiracies, and science fiction. I recommend this book to fans of science fiction and readers with an interest or background knowledge in quantum physics. I give this book a rating of five out of five stars.
