Grant traveled to Russia to live at his uncle's house. Randall, his uncle, has been declared dead, and the taxi driver charged Grant a high rate when he arrived at the new apartment he inherited from his uncle. Grant entered the house and was looking around when he heard a noise and moved toward it. He saw a man going through his uncle's documents. The intruder pushed Grant down and ran outside the building after he noticed Grant's presence, and before Grant could get to his feet, he lost sight of the intruder.

While reviewing documents, Grant found a photograph of his uncle and his lawyer, Boris. Grant met with Boris the next day, who handled his probate process. Boris invited his niece, who worked as an investigator and research assistant in his office. Grant has a lot of suspicions after meeting Captain Oleg Godunov, who appears to know something about his uncle. To enjoy the fictional story about Grant's adventures, buy the book Zona: The Forbidden Land by Fred G. Baker.

I liked a lot of things about the book Zona. I liked the relationship between Grant and his uncle Randall. It was courageous of Grant to go to Russia even though he wasn't familiar with the language or the way of life there. Baker's use of the map of Zona to enlighten his reader was thoughtful. The suspense in the book was also commendable because, while reading, I didn't know who to trust. Grant was funny; for instance, he felt other men would presume him lucky when Irina joined his table at the restaurant.

Fred was very skilled in writing, and his references to specific locations were genuine. I also liked that, in most cases, when characters in the book spoke Russian, Fred added translations to make understanding easier for readers. The sudden growth of feelings among the characters on their expedition was interesting. I liked how Fred was able to mix romance with adventure, and I enjoyed the scenes with romantic content a lot. Even though Grant made many bad decisions and could not put his sexual urges in check, I still find these aspects to be something that made this book unique.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because there was no reason for me to dislike it. I recommend this book to people who like to read stories with a touch of mystery, romance, and adventure. I didn't encounter errors while reading this book, which shows that Zona: The Forbidden Land by Fred G. Baker was exceptionally well-edited.

This is a good review! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Zona. Along with the suspense and thrill elements of the plot, I also loved the bond Grant shared with Shadow, the wolf.

It really take love to do what Grant did in other to find his uncle. Fred was a very skillful writer and he made the scope of the book so broad that it would never bore the readers. I believe that this review informs me on what to expect while purchasing this book.

Why was it named Zona though? It doesn't sound mystical or anything. Anyway, I loved reading this book and i'm in line with the points you've presented. Awesome review.

I appreciate that the review provides a warning about the profanity and sexual content, which will help readers make an informed decision. It's impressive that the author manages to strike a balance between fun and information while still keeping the narrative engaging.
