Review of The Great awakening
[Following is a volunteer review of "The Great awakening" by Arthur Seymour.]
Arthur Seymour’s The Great Awakening presents a captivating story set in a distant future, where the world is hit by a pandemic that was later discovered to be man-made. The book highlights the idea that solutions to humanity’s problems can be found on earth and its creations, which is a refreshing perspective. Furthermore, it explores the connection between the physical and metaphysical world, making the reader think beyond the obvious.
One of the most striking features of this book is the author's creative approach to finding solutions to problems. Seymour presents an array of unconventional sources ranging from animals, robots, and even children, which adds a unique and interesting touch to the story. Additionally, the emphasis on love as a solution to humanity's problems makes the book even more engaging. The inclusion of poems also adds to the book's aesthetic appeal, which is commendable.
However, the book falls short in some areas. One of the drawbacks is the lack of background information about the characters. This made it difficult to connect with them on a personal level, and it detracted from the story's overall impact. The transitions between scenes also need improvement as they were abrupt, leaving the reader confused. Moreover, the book did not provide enough information about the villain, which made their actions less meaningful.
Despite these drawbacks, the book was still an enjoyable read. It had a clear and concise writing style that made it easy to follow, which is a testament to the editor's work.
