We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a work of fiction that takes place in a world of fantasy. From the beginning, the book takes the reader on a journey through the land where a war breaks out, causing Glen Bray, the main protagonist, and many others to flee in search of safety. This sets the tone for the book, establishing the conflict that will drive the plot forward.

As the story progresses, Bray finds himself in the Kingdom of Voulhire, where his late uncle, Galen Onita, had left him his business. Though he has no prior experience in managing a business, his uncle's assistant is there to help him. The author's attention to detail is noteworthy, with the map of the fictional world presented at the beginning of the book providing a visual aid for the reader. This detail allows the reader to immerse themselves in the world of Voulhire.

Throughout the book, the characters are well-developed, with each chapter named after a character, allowing the author to switch between perspectives and provide unique viewpoints. The book spans across 174 pages, with 21 chapters narrated in the third person from the past tense. The author's writing style is engaging, and the characters' backgrounds and motivations are fleshed out. This allows the reader to connect with the characters and become invested in their stories.

As Bray settles into his new life in Voulhire, he faces several challenges in managing his uncle's business. However, he is determined to carry on his uncle's legacy and build a life for himself in this new kingdom. Along the way, he meets several interesting characters, each with their own stories and motivations. The author does an excellent job of weaving these stories together, building a world that feels rich and dynamic.

One of the book's strengths is its action-packed plot, filled with battles and political intrigue. The book keeps the reader engaged from start to finish, with no grammatical errors or inconsistencies. The chapters are not numbered, and there is no table of contents, but this doesn't detract from the overall reading experience. The author's writing style is concise and to the point, moving the story forward without getting bogged down in unnecessary details.

The book's themes center around loyalty, friendship, and determination. These themes are woven throughout the book, as the characters face challenges and grow as individuals. The book's central message is that no matter how difficult things may seem, with determination and perseverance, one can overcome any obstacle.

In conclusion, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a fantastic fantasy novel that is sure to please fans of the genre. The book is edited exceptionally well, and I did not find anything that I dislike specifically. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a thrilling adventure in a fictional world. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars
