The Great Awakening is a Sci-fi novel written by Arthur Seymour that tells the story of a selfless group of family, friends, robots, and even animals that didn't hesitate to answer the call of duty when a man-made virus which was a product of an evil entity threatened to wipe out humanity. The book begins when an albino crow visited Seymour and his wife Ruby and presented them with a type of fruit. This group faces challenging situations every step of the way to battle threats they have never encountered before while making sure they don't get infected by the deadly virus. Will they be able to get the much-needed breakthrough?

I love the fact that this book has a table of contents that is designed to direct its readers to any desired chapter they wish to see with just one click, making it easy for curious readers to comb through the book if they wish. I also loved the author's mode of narration and storytelling. The author has a unique and creative mind and made sure to use words that are very easy to understand. Though it was a short novel there were no plot holes, it was really interesting, and all dialogues between the characters were intriguing. Although this novel is a sequel to a book named Earth Won, one will be able to read The Great Awakening as a standalone even though it takes place a dozen years later, and the author also added a summary of Earth Won. The Great Awakening is written from a third-person point of view and the author included images in their book for the readers to have a clear view of the description. The author explained the scenes in great detail and the readers will have no trouble visualizing the descriptions. Even though there were mentions of a supreme being, I don't think it would be a disturbance for a non-religious person because of the author's mode of writing. This book gave a pleasant reading experience.

I didn't find anything I disliked about the book. Everything thing went straight to the point, the book was properly edited and no errors were found. Also, nothing interrupted the flow of the book at any point.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book was interesting and properly written. There were no errors in the book.

I recommend this book to readers (of all ages) that enjoy reading short books but most especially to sci-fi and fantasy readers. Though it speaks about wars and fighting, it is a good book to read while relaxing.
