Terms of Service: A Subject to Change Without Notice is a sci-fi genre written by Craig W. Stanfill, basically about Artificial Intelligence and how they are created, trained, and assigned to govern, manage and control every activity in a society. We met Kim living in such a society; she works for an artificial intelligence company as one of the trainers of AIs. Terms of service are laws in place to which one has to adhere to receive essential goods and services; otherwise, failure to do so will impact a person's social credit score, like being denied hot water, being given bland meals, etc. One morning, while at work in the AI company, Kim and other AI trainers are summoned for a meeting and informed about anti-mentors holding children as captives. Usually, it is a rule that the birth mother has to surrender the child to a mentor after the fourth birthday. Kim passed through the same system of mentors, and her painful experience brought discomfort to her life. This book has much to talk about, especially Kim's personal life, the secrets of AIs, and her traumas. Get a copy of the Terms of Service: A Subject to Change Without Notice for more information.

Craig W. Stanfill instilled positive aspects to like in the book. First, he has depicted that a happy and good life is about more than having good and getting promotions in jobs and good meals. The up brings and love from friends and family are also part of and contribute much to a good and happy life. For instance, Kim is not completely happy with her life despite having her dream job, as evidenced by her feelings of despair, loneliness, betrayal, and abandonment. I love the characterization in the book. The AIs, house-bots, and refrigerator microwave combo did what they were trained or commanded to do, and I applaud Craig W. Stanfill for such since you could differentiate between humans and the AIs in the story. Humans have emotional feelings, not like AIs or house bots. The author's creativity in integrating Kim's personal life with artificial intelligence suited the story and made it captivating. The book's plot, especially the setup and worldbuilding with good descriptions and writing style, were excellent.

The only minor negative aspect I found in the book was the depiction and use of drug abuse and alcoholism in the story. The author depicted alcohol as a solution to relieve stress, which is not a solution to stress. Otherwise, I didn't find any typos, punctuation, or grammatical errors in the book.

I rate Terms of Service 5 out of 5 stars, mainly because of the book's positive aspects. After reading the book, I am worried about our future with AIs. I imagine a life where everything is selected for you, even your partner's gender, in a relationship.

I recommend this book to artificial intelligence students, machine learning enthusiasts, and lovers of the sci-fi genre. I enjoyed reading this book. It was great, and I learned that AIs could serve as tools for dictatorship.
