In a world run by Artificial Intelligence, civilization is in perfect order. Kim, an inhabitant of this world, maintains her social standing by staying under the radar and avoiding trouble. Though her dreams are constantly plagued by nightmares, and she has no real joy, Kim persists to be a model citizen. However, everything changes when Shan, her best friend since childhood, leads her into a restricted area, where they both discover deep-buried secrets. This incident will lead to a turn of events that would expose Kim to the dark conspiracies of the ruling elite, and the real truth about her world.

Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice by Craig W. Stanfill is a psychological science-fiction novel imbued with a blend of mystery and suspense. It comes with a futuristic setting, and Stanfill, an expert in Artificial Intelligence has employed his skills, along with various concepts, such as time travel and virtual reality, to create this narrative.

This introductory novel has a slow-paced feel to enable readers to connect and familiarize themselves with the story. However, the plot suddenly takes a different turn, leaving one completely immersed in it. The narrative contains many elements that make it quite intriguing, and careful reading would enable the reader to understand the many ideas behind it. One of the main highlights for me is the world-building in the narrative. I was quite awed by the flawless intermingling of futurism and modernity, along with its various concepts, one of them being total industrial digitization. The novel is easygoing, with interesting characters that propel the story. Another highlight is the theme of friendship portrayed throughout the novel. This conveys the story in a very refreshing tone.

The book borders on numerous sensitive matters, some of them being drugs and gender-related issues. Making these the main focus of the story was a bit of a letdown for me. I expected some intense action scenes, which was another downer as there weren't any. Nevertheless, a sequel is being anticipated, and I hopefully look forward to some answered questions and a follow-up on Kim's journey.

I would like to commend the author on the professional editing of the book, as I found no errors of any kind. I am awarding Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice a full rating of 5 out of 5 stars . This rating is due to the editing of the book, and the concepts in the narrative which I enjoyed.

Any lover of science-fiction, who falls under the young adult and mature age group, will appreciate this novel. However, the book is not recommended to younger readers as it contains some profanity, eroticism, and a bit of violence.
